Our client is one of the Region’s greatest success stories over recent years – a UK based manufacturing business that exports worldwide, with an impressive product development commitment to ensure the business maintains its respected position as a real leader in its field.

As the business continues to grow its product range and geographical spread, the need has been identified for an experienced Cost Accountant to join the head office finance & commercial team.  Reporting to the Finance Director, your responsibilities will include:-

  • Focused on continuing improvement of the gross margin
  • Review of all existing cost management and reporting processes
  • Establishment and management of effective standard costing and bills of materials across a range of products
  • Key in advising on cost-effective inventory sourcing solutions
  • Also with key responsibility for indirect costs including sub-contract and logistics
  • Development of cost reporting processes to track progress and improvements
  • Also reporting regularly on gross margin achievement
  • Purchasing analysis of standard and non-standard products from the UK and Asia
  • Development and maintenance of production budgets and forecasts
  • Month end management and cost reporting and analysis
  • Ad hoc reporting and analysis
