Description
Having recently been acquired by market leaders in their field, our Liverpool based client requires a Qualified Management Accountant to join their highly calibre, well established finance team. Reporting directly to the Group Management Accountant you will be responsible for the full remit of Management Accounts, as well as budgeting and forecasting and business partnering with the Operations team. This is a highly commercial and business facing role which will involve liaising with colleagues from outside of finance on a daily basis.
Responsibilities will include:-
- To assist Group Management Accountant with all month end reporting, ensuring all Divisional and Group timetables are adhered to.
- To ensure local Business Managers are provided with timely information to assist with the decision making process.
- To produce monthly management accounts and cost expenditure summaries for each cost centre manager.
- To liaise with cost centre managers on a monthly basis to ensure accurate costs are accounted for in the month and full year forecasts are complete and accurate.
- Manage the budget process with the GMA to ensure an accurate budget is compiled. Support cost centre managers through the budget process.
- Liaise with the Revenue Accountant and Commercial Analyst to ensure revenues are accounted for accurately on a monthly basis.
- Prepare a monthly management accounts written report with explanations of variances in actuals and forecasts.
- Ensure all corporate (central) costs are recharged accurately on a monthly basis.
- To reconcile balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis and ensure any corrective action taken.
- To attend annual stock take and make monthly adjustments to stocks based on monthly stock counts received.
- To regularly update, review and reconcile fixed asset registers in line with Group accounting policies.
- Project work, assisting in the development and implementation of financial models for investment appraisal of business changes for use within the Group
- Liaise with the auditors at year end and tax audit.
- Preparation of year end audit packs and tax packs
