• Overseeing the analysis of actual spend compared to costed rates for key cost of sales items and challenging and eliminating areas of overspend where possible

• Ensuring the accuracy of the valuation of product for duty and VAT purposes whilst taking advantage of any regimes allowing duty liability to be minimised (eg treatment of buying commission, seconds stock etc)
• CCN audit of all styles to ensure accurate tariff applied to each product to ensure the appropriate duty rate and quota costs have been applied and that information given to support HMRC trade statistics is accurate
• Continuous training of personnel through written procedures, handbooks and running training workshops at UK and overseas sites to ensure personnel are aware of duty regulations or EU legislation affecting them.
