A high calibre Audit Senior Manager with a proven track record of managing and developing client portfolios, is sought for one of the regions most prestigious independent Accountancy firms. Based within their expanding Manchester office the Audit Senior Manager will play an integral role in enabling the firm to achieve its growth plans, with partnership a genuine prospect in the future.

Taking responsibility for the management of a portfolio of clients, the Audit Senior Manager will be responsible for ensuring client expectations are consistently exceeded. Supporting the partners, duties will include:

• Management of a varied client portfolio consisting of Limited Companies across a range of sectors, Charities and Academies
• Building effective working relationships with clients, understanding their individual requirements and circumstances in order to provide accurate credible advice.
• Supporting the Partners in tenders for new business and identifying opportunities to cross sell the firms broader services.
• Reviewing and finalising work prepared by the team.
• Training and mentoring of the audit team ensuring work is completed in line with deadlines and budgets.
• Various additional ad hoc duties.

The Audit Senior Manager will be able to demonstrate experience of managing and developing client portfolios, constantly going the extra mile to support them and their businesses. They will ideally have a proven track record of securing new work through Business Development though more importantly will be able to inspire and lead others. A leading mid-tier firm of Accountants with ambitious expansion plans within the North West, are looking for an Audit Senior within their Manchester office. The firm offer a full suite of services to a wide range of clients including; AIM listed clients, UK subsidiaries of International Groups, Small – Medium sized enterprises, Charities and the Public Sector. Their success is built on their approach – working as Business Advisors to their clients as opposed to Accountants – and the Audit Senior will be provided with exceptional opportunities to develop their client facing skills.

Working in their Manchester City Centre office, the Audit Senior will take responsibility for:

• Leading Audit engagements for a wide range of organisations within the North West.
• Supporting the Partner / Manager with planning the audit engagement, identifying areas for risk and ensuring adequate resources are allocated.
• Overseeing junior members of staff in the field and providing feedback and training at the end of the engagement.
• Reviewing the fieldwork and supporting the Manager with the final Audit report preparation.
• Preparation of annual financial statements.
• Supporting Partners / Managers in client meetings, building rapport with clients.

The Audit Senior should be ACA or ACCA Qualified with experience of leading Audit assignments, preferably gained within a mid-tier or large independent firm. They will demonstrate the enthusiasm and potential to develop towards management in the future, and will possess first-class communication skills.
